Peach A1915332 is another shut down momma at BARC. She was planted by the bench in the run when I went to meet her, and she did everything she could to make herself invisible.💔 She didn?t run when I came to sit with her and did gently take a treat from my hand. She does flinch and pull back whenever someone tries to pet her, and seems very head shy. She didn?t try to bite, but does give a warning that she?s uncomfortable. Peach did hide behind me when another volunteer came in and allowed me to leash her with no issues. When we introduced her to Luna, her tail started wagging for the first time and they did great together! This beautiful mom to be seems more comfortable with women and I?d recommend a quiet home and an experienced foster to help her learn to trust.
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: Finder said dog was walking in her yard and right into her house. She cannot keep. Dog started growling at me in the car and lunged towards me when I was examining the dog in car. I was able to leash her up but she was defensive when the finders were around. When I got her inside she started to alligator roll and attempt to bite at leash. I was able to get a second leash on her and find another tech. She was able to be muzzled and given full work up but when we attempted to give dewormer she started to alligator roll, low growl with hackles up and whale eyes. She lunged at both handlers. Unable to scan dog at this time. Also unable to have vet examine dog at this time. Limping on left rear
