About marvin: 12/13 Stray/Male/German Shepherd Mix/9Y/41.2lbs/HW+
Marvin is an older dog who definitely hasn?t been cared for adequately. He has pieces of both ears missing and he is on the skinnier side. Other than that, he is absolutely stunning with his white coat and crystal blue eyes. He ignored most of the dogs in the ward when walking down the aisles, but did pull quite hard on the leash. Marvin marked everything in sight he could possibly could but was easy to redirect. He enjoyed eating chicken treats out of hand and loved getting pets off-leash in the outside pen. Marvin will need an experienced handler who can help teach this older guy basic training but he definitely still has a lot of life left to live!
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
12/17 When approaching kennel he was pacing in kennel with a medium open mouth pant, vocalizing, fast wagging tail and happy feet.
12/20 Marvin was a move adopt this morning. Walk up to the run, Marvin was at the front of the gate, I place the leash on him and started to walk out of the kennel. When placing him in his kennel, Marvin started to pant, pace around the kennel, dilated eyes. Will cover and monitor.
12/23 When in kennel, Marvin was continuously vocalizing, as I attempted to leash he began to jump but was able to be redirected with treats, he allowed me to leash and began walking on a tight leash and began to zig zag even with attempts of redirection. He was in run and began to raise hackles and stiffen tail, but he went and pottied and began to run along side another dog in the run, when going inside he began to walk on a tight leash and when in kennel began to vocalize once kennel door was closed.
