About pepper: 12/01 Stray|Neutered Male|Staffie Mix|3Y|45lbs|HW+
This guy is a total mush. I don't even know what that means...but it describes him perfectly. He is the full package, playful with the dogs in the runs next to us, super engage and cuddly with me, and walked well on leash. He's got the most amazing smile, light green eyes, and slightly wrinkly face (some may call it mushy?). He'd be a great best friend. Go get him!

Approaching kennel, Pepper comes to me after babytalking to him with a wiggly body, low ears, and wagging tail. He maintained a tight leash on the way to the runs until he pottied and then frolickes around in the runs. Dog started to vocalize as I left and came back with other dogs. I noticed that Pepper kept following treats and some chicken pieces towards the doorway and I was even able to get him to slowly go towards the front of the door but he still refused to walk in in which I had to muzzle and carry him inside. He did however walk with a wiggly body to the kennel.
Approaching kennel, Pepper came to me with a wagging tail and low ears as I babytalked to him. I offered treats to leash him nd then he walked with a semi-tight leash on the way to the runs until he pottied. Once placed in the run, Pepper starts to vocalize and on the way to the doorway dog pancakes and refuses to walk any further only taking a few treats that I was offering. As I get close to attempt to lure him with treats, dog rolls over exposing his belly with a tucked tail to which I have to muzzle then carry to the inside of the building. Afterwards, Pepper walked with a wiggly body to his cleaned kennel.
Approaching kennel, Pepper comes to me slowly with squinty eyes and low ears as I offer treats to leash him. Dog came to me and proceeded to pull on the leash ignoring treats this time around. I noticed that he refused to go back inside of the building and began to pull heavily back to avoid going inside. I attempted to lure him with treats and squatting down busy I had to muzzle and carry to kennel.
