A staff member who spent time with me said: "I visited Maverick in his kennel. He came over when I approached and did a big stretch at the kennel door. He then stood watching me as I spoke to him. I offered him some treats, which he gobbled up. I let him sniff my hand through the bars, and he began wagging his tail. He was pretty calm and relaxed while I was there, but seemed interested in interacting."
