Poor Ernest is terrified and would not let me pet him. He was shaking and got a bit growly when I tried to let him smell my hand. I did try to touch him after and he snapped at my hand. He is older dog that has been through a lot. You can see all the scars from his life whether it has been on the streets all this time or just plain neglect. His scars look like he has been bitten a few times. I can understand why he is shut down as he doesn't trust humans. I'm not sure if this guy will change much even with decompression time. He really breaks my heart because he most likely has been harden by the streets and humans.
