Claudette A1894106: suuuuper stressed girl. It took a full 5 minutes of coaxing before she would approach me and I was able to lasso the leash on her. She gave me all the stress signals: wide eyes, yawning, ears pinned back, tail tucked, panting and licking her lips, and low growls, sitting upright with her paw crossed across her chest. She sniffed forcibly at my hand when I extended it toward her and offered a couple quick kisses but refused all the treats and didn?t let me pet her fully. Once I had her on leash, she would dart and scurry forward very nervously. I didn?t release her off the leash because she was already stressed and having to chase her would only exacerbate this. I was able to successfully and safely pet her but she didn?t love it. This girl will need major decompression time to come out of her shell but I think you?ll be rewarded handsomely for your work because she has a sweet spirit.
