Initially as I walked down the aisle not realizing she was who I needed to meet, Little Eva was sitting so cutelike, with her front paws on the outside of her back paws, her back legs tucked in. As I opened her kennel door to take a pic, she shifted position and began to low growl at me, curling her lips a bit. I backed off and went in search of the dog I needed only to come back to her because she was the dog I needed. She would readily eat the treats I passed through the kennel door but she maintained a stiff posture, wide eyes and a low growl. As I opened the kennel door again, she moved to the back corner and stayed seated, staring hard at me. She would break gaze to find and eat the treats I tossed and she considered but never followed through with eating treats out of my palm. She lifted her lips again as I presented my leash just to confirm she didn?t want to go out.
