About baby girl: Baby Girl?s adopter didn?t show up, but a BARC foster is supposed to pick her up in the morning. She will need a plan if that falls through too.
Baby Girl was extended and must have a plan by 1 PM on Saturday, 8/5. 8/2 update: We just found out that a chip was found and Misty, now Baby Girl, was NOT euthanized. However, she is back on the list for 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟴/𝟰. We wish we had known sooner and had time to keep networking. Let?s get this senior pup safe for good
On the euthanasia list 𝗧𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟳/𝟮𝟳
Misty isn?t doing well at BARC and needs a hold 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝗽𝗺 or she?ll be euthanized . We need pledges and a local foster for a rescue to help.

𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 Misty can only be described as depressed. Her whole being has been beaten down and trampled on that she?s no longer remotely hopeful the next person to come along won?t kick her while she?s already down. Both ends of her suite were covered with a blanket when I arrived and as I stepped inside, she retreated to the back sandwiching herself between the walls, refusing to look at me or the treats I tossed. I sat there in the kennel with her trying to coax her toward me before I eventually went to sit next to her. Misty blew air on my cheek and shoulder, occasionally turning to sniff my face with whale eyes. I didn?t take her out as she was clearly overwhelmed as is.
Shelter Notes: 7/29 Dog walks on a semi loose leash, loose body, quiet, sniffing around, and mid tail wag. Dog sniffed around outside and in the runs was walking around sniffing.
7/27 found chip before PTS 7/25 Dog was at the front of kennel with worried look on face while having eyebrows raised. As I was opening kennel door dog started lip licking while sitting on her bottom and waiting to get leashed. As we were walking outdoor she walked beside me but ignored treats being thrown in downward position. As I placed her in outdoor run she ran to the back and was looking at the neighboor dog. While coming to get her from outdoor run she presented dialated pupils I threw treats and attempted to leash her as she continued to run away received assistance from ACT as dog was backed to one corner of run the other ACT was able to leash. PM walk I was able to slowly leash her be leaning into kennel slowly. She walked out behind me and walked slow but loose. I took her outside to the side run and kept her on the leash . I allowed her to walk around and sniff till she found the perfect spot to potty. Once She was done I went and sat at the bench and she sat down next to me. I placed some chicken near by her and she ate it, she offered her my palm with chicken in it and she ate it gently then licked my hand and fingers. I was able to place a bandana on her with no issues and take her photo. She seemed a little more relaxed the more I offered her treats and baby talk towards her. Once we were done she walked back to her kennel loosely.
