𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 Unfortunately Coral was in surgery so volunteers were unable to meet her. If you have any questions, please call Rescue office.
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 05/14 - I noticed coral tends to bark at other dogs when they pass by. Body is tense when another dog is in sight. However leashing her, she tends to be relaxed and a loose leash. During her walk, she noticed another dog but had no reaction. Will monitor behavior.
05/13 - As I approached the kennel door, Cookie had her paws up on the kennel wall barking. When she noticed me she got down and approached the kennel door. Her tail was wagging, she was wiggly and her body was relaxed. As I leashed her up she pushed her way out of the kennel door. She walked on a tight leash, however she was able to be redirected with treats but when I ran out of treats she went back to pulling. Coming back inside her pulling behavior continued and she was attempting to jump on me. All still with a relaxed body, a relaxed face and a wagging tail.
05/12 - Approaching kennel, dog is jumping on kennel door with wrinkled forehead, extended-open mouth pant, and dilated pupils as I get close with treats. Coral still proceeded to jump and scratch at the kennel door while leashing her. Afterwards, dog continuously jumped on me, only took a few treats being offered, and did laps once released inside of run. Dog kept scratching at the run door and panting a lot as I offered treats to leash her. Once placed back, she went inside after tossing in treats. Covered kennel door and gave extra enrichment.
05/11 - Approaching run, dog is jumping on run door with dilated pupils, wrinkled forehead, and an open mouth pant as I offered treats to redirect attention. Dog started to reach for the leash but I was able to redirect once leashed. Dog maintained a forward tight leash ignoring treats being offered. Coral then started to jump very high in kennel, vocalize, and also pant heavily. Will cover kennel door and give extra enrichment.
𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 None.
