INTAKE 1 brwn lrg dog that wont leave her yard , it dont belong to her
BEHAVIOR NOTE Placing on Adopt Eval due to Luke presenting raised hackles, panting ,a and zigzagging on leash on the way our of row. He also pulls heavily on leash while ignoring treats and redirections. Also noticed that he kept vocalizing and jumping on run door. Will place extra enrichment as well as cover kennel door.
BEHAVIOR NOTE Approaching kennel, dog is jumping on the door with an extended smile, raised brows, dilated pupils, and panting. I offered treats downwards to be able to leash him and once he was, dog then started to pull a lot on the leash as well a whine with raised hackles. I offered treats and paused as well to see if Luke would pause too but he proceeded . Noticed that he started to scratch the run door and vocalize a lot when left there. Covered kennel door an gave extra enrichment which he took with a wide open mouth.
BEHAVIOR NOTE Dog was laying on kennel floor but as soon as I approached he started wagging tail and presenting a wiggly body. As I went in to leash dog started to jump up and down as I offered treats in downwards position . While in kennel he layed his head on my knees. When coming out of kennel dog started to jump while presenting dialated pupils.
BEHAVIOR NOTE Approach the kennel and Luke greeted me at the front of the kennel. I place the leash on him and he walk out of the kennel readily. Once we started walking to the outside, Luke was pulling forward on the leash, he held a semi tense body, dilated eyes and a low swaying tail.
BEHAVIOR NOTE This morning Luke greeted me at the kennel door, he held a wagging tail, soft open mouth and a semi tense body. On the leash Luke will still pull on the leash. In the kennel, haven't heard him bark when other dogs are barking, passing other kennels, Luke will sniff the other dogs and will keep on walking.
