INTAKE to pick up her puppy that she can no longer keep
BEHAVIOR NOTE Scooby was laying down in his kennel when I approached. His tail was wagging and I baby talked him. He sat up and started to pee all over while his tail wagged. I baby talked more as I offered treats while opening the kennel door. He took the treat with a soft mouth and then slowly approached me. He moved and put his head on my leg and tried to force himself up under me. I baby talked and dropped down treats attempting to redirect him to start walking. He shut down when I attempted to walk him. He started to shake slightly, his tail wagging only when I baby talked him. I ended up having to muzzle and then carry the dog to the new kennel. The whole time he was peeing as he was carried.
BEHAVIOR NOTE Scooby greets you at the front of the kennel , laying down with head low and slow wagging tail. When leashed , his body gets semi tense but after baby talking him and petting him , he starts to walk on a loose leash
BEHAVIOR NOTE Saw that dog was being carried so I assisted ACT by carrying dog back to kennel while it displayed a tense body but wagging tail. Once placed in kennel, dog stated to have a cowering body and then laid in be with a tucked tail and raised brows as I passed by kennel.
BEHAVIOR NOTE Approaching kennel, dog displays low ears with pulled back smile as he lays down. I then squatted down and offered treats to which he got up and came to me with a wagging tail and whale eyes. Dog followed me out once leash but I noticed that he started to jump on my side when walking to the runs. Scooby started to do the same when going back to the kennel and would ignore treats being offered. I picked up the pace to take him back and then he went in as I lured him in with babytalk. Covered kennel door and gave extra enrichment.
BEHAVIOR NOTE Scooby jumping up and down on kennel door being very vocal, with his ears pulled back. When leashed Scooby pulls forward and will come to a sudden stop and start to jump on me, when turning my back away from him, Scobby then jumped on my back digging his nails into my skin.
BEHAVIOR NOTE 04/12/23 15:33 Scooby had a loose wiggly body with open panting mouth when I approched the kennel. He quickly tried to walk past me when I approched but I was able to place the leash on him. He kept the leash loose and started close to my side. When the leash was tight, he would stop walking and turn to look up at me. I would then jump up on me several times.
