Moose needs a hold 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝗣𝗠 or he?ll be euthanized. We need pledges and a local foster for a rescue to help.

𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 Moose is rather anxious at BARC and I felt so bad we weren?t able to go outside due to his stray hold, I think some fresh air would do him well. Moose walks easily on the lead and sniffed a few pups in their kennels, including small chis and Boudin, and was very polite in all those encounters. As a result of his anxiety, Moose is sort of all over the place. He fidgets. He can?t stand still. He?s always pacing. And he has been digging at the kennel door such that he?s caused trauma to several toenails on both paws. That said, he is very treat motivated and with a proper outlet for his energy/anxiety, I think Moose will be a great addition to any family.
𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀
𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮: Moose was picked up on 3-28-23, the owner decided to sign him over-no reason given. He is heartworm positive but has no other medical conditions noted. Moose is not adapting well to the shelter environment. He dug at the kennel in the officer?s truck and may have dug at the kennel door overnight at the shelter, injuring his front feet.
𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 3/29/23 s/o: dog was possibly digging at the cage on the truck and caused some of his nails to brake off and bled some in kennel last night a: injured toe nails front feet p: will not plea due to anxiety of being kenneled and should sign off at end of stray hold. Vet tech to notify medical about this dog. Will treat with 100mg Carprofen SID x 10 days
