𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: Vol 1 So this guy is labeled as staff only but another volunteered leashed him for me without issue. He seems to be overwhelmed in the kennel and can have low growls but he?s totally harmless. He seems to be scared of everything going on but puts on a very aloof front. In the yard he was mostly observant of everything going on around us. He let me pet him but wasn?t super interested in treats or engaging with me too much. I think he needs some time to decompress and gain some confidence. He is a good boy just needs a little love and space to blossom. He also did well with meeting other dogs even when they barked at him, he didn?t really react at all. Sunlight and Midnight were brought in together and could possibly be siblings. Vol 2 I noticed when I went to Sunlight's kennel it was covered with a blanket, so my first thought was this guy was going to be a tough one. It was such a pleasant surprise as to how great he really is. He was super easy to leash and walked so nicely on the leash. Once outside int he runs he was so calm and just kind of smelled around the run and then laid down under the bench. I didn't have any treats on me, but he did allow me to pet him and just really enjoyed being outside. He showed no aggression towards any dog that was outside. I kept him quite a while he was just so happy and alive being outside. He did his business right away. He truly was a gentleman.

𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚: A citizen brought these two dogs in as strays. Sunlight A1869435 had some behavior issues but is improving and Midnight A1869436 is having some medical. 3/18 dog was in front of the kennel and when i opened the kennel door to leash him i was able to loop him since he was facing down and when i took his out he walked lose leash and next to me then a vet tech needed to do some after hours and when i muzzled him i petted him and babied talked to him and the vet tech was able to do the afterhours work up no with issue.
3/21 As I approach the kennel, Sunlight is at the front of the kennel on all four paws on the floor. He presented a semi tense body, tight open mouth and a nuetral high tail. Placing the leash on him, he walk out of the readily, while walking to the door he waited for me to open the door and started to walk out. while on the leash, Sunlight walk loosely on the leash, his body became relax and slow swaying tail. Sunlight walk ahead of me but still kept a loose leash and I place him in the outside run removed the leash and he started to walk around sniffing.
3/23 Approaching kennel, dog comes to me with a high curled tail, and erect ears as I babytalk and offer treats to leash. Sunlight reject treats at first and rushes out with a slight zigzag on the leash. He maintains his head downward sniffing the floor on the way to the runs an then once redirected with treats and pullback to be unleashed faster. After going back for his, he playbowed and avoided the leash so I went in and slowly leashed his after offering treats downwards which he took this time around.
3/26 Canine presents at the front of his kennel with a soft relaxed body, slow high wagging tail, alert eyes and dilated pupils. When placing the leash he attempted to dart out from the kennel door and i used my leg to body block him while i finished placing the leash. While walking Canine kept the leash taut and was pulling to get to other dogs kennels. Behaviour repeated outside and on the way back inside, even while offering baby talk and treats. When back in his kennel canine begins barking up at the ceiling and pacing. Will cover and give extra enrichment.
